Lead/senior environment Artist

We are searching for a Lead/Senior Environment Artist to join our team. As our main 3D Environment Artist, you will work closely with the Art Director, Game Designers and Concept artists to create stunning and immersive environments for our project.

YOU ARE:

  • Passionate about playing and making great games.

  • Excited to work closely with the art director, concept artists, and designers to create visually captivating and immersive environments.

  • Knowledgeable in creating hard-surface and organic game ready assets, such as terrain, foliage, props, architecture and tile-sets.

  • Collaborative with the team and provide constructive feedback and support to empower them in building gameplay prototypes and world building assets.

  • Passionate about creating colorful and appealing gameplay arenas, maps, and other environmental elements that contribute to a vibrant and engaging gaming experience.

  • Driven to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and techniques, continuously expanding your knowledge and skills to deliver the best possible artistic results that serve players.

  • Have 5+ years of experience as an artist.

  • Proficient with stylized PBR art workflows.

  • Worked through multiple AAA productions/shipped titles.

  • Able to own entire levels from concept to final product. Including optimization and troubleshooting tech issues.

  • Skilled in various domains of art, including painting, sculpting, and procedural art.

  • Have a clear understanding of game production pipelines and technical limitations.

  • Capable of effectively managing time, both individually and as a team, while understanding project scope.

  • Have successfully contributed to numerous AAA productions and shipped titles.

  • Have proficiency in utilizing industry-standard tools and software, such as the Unreal Engine and relevant 3D modeling and texturing software.

PLUSES:

  • Well-versed in utilizing advanced techniques such as Physically Based Rendering (PBR) shaders, real-time lighting, visual environment creation, destruction mechanics, scatter terrain implementation, and post-processing effects.

  • Experienced in collaborating with external vendors.

  • Proficient in building games that incorporate isometric player-cameras, providing engaging and strategic gameplay perspectives.

  • Experience working in FPS or shooter-adjacent genres.

  • Experience with mentoring or leading teams and individuals.

Stoke Games is a new independent game studio dedicated to crafting enduring multiplayer games that challenge and bring players together.
